The problems of the world can seem daunting and insurmountable. We believe the solution to these problems, like the plastic bag scourge, begins simply "with me." Waiting for someone else to come up with a solution that will provide an immediate fix is simply not going to happen.  This leaves just you and me,  making small changes in our daily lives, leading the way, and inspiring others to follow suit.

Sacks with Attitude is here to help you do just that and to have some light-hearted fun along the way.

 We hope by visiting our site, you will become more aware of the tremendous damage simple plastic shopping bags have on our environment. Each year, one trillion (that’s 1,000,000,000!) bags are produced and used. The average useful life of a plastic bag is 12 minutes, and then it ends up in the landfill.  Our landfills are full of them and they take hundreds of years to break down. Even worse, our oceans are becoming so polluted with plastic that countless marine animals are killed or injured each year.

To combat the devastating affects, many cities around the world have banned the use of these bags. Some stores charge a tax to use them, while others offer a discount to shoppers who bring their own reusable totes.

 

And that’s where Sacks With Attitude comes in. This site was created out of concern for our planet and wanting to make it a better place for our children and their children. By offering canvas bags with light-hearted and witty messages about the problems of plastic, we hope the bags you buy will help spread our “attitude” of concern!
